It's Midyear, Time for a Recap - 2022

personal - thoughts, quarterly review, midyear review1 min read

So!

Left my previous job of 8 months, and moved on to the new company I was talking about.

Everyone is so nice and happy! But B-U-S-Y! Onboarding was... it was basically meetings and video calls the whole day, but I'm glad it's over!

I've met my teammates, gone out for badminton with some colleagues and I'm on a really cool project!

On top of that, I feel like I belong. Everyone here seems to move at the speed I like, and nobody is wasting time at all. Plus with flexible work hours, I've been happily experimenting with my peak energy and working times.

As for NFT stuff, I'm now on a new project, and I'm the Frontend Engineer for it. The project sounds so cool and I actually enjoy applying new code stuff I learned while I was interviewing.

What about my other income streams?

My, oh my.

So we were invited to participate in an event, where we would share a booth with a home baker, and sell our rice wine. I didn't have high expectations of it, to be honest, because a) I didn't think anyone would pay that high for rice wine, given the reception I got from several people from the same state (they thought it was too expensive). But ... SELLING OUT ALL STOCK ... that was eye-opening for me, and I'm grateful for the support. So on to more and bigger things! I'd have to figure out how to streamline some processes. In the meantime, we've gone all in, and thankful for the raised capital.

As for digital products and consultancy - currently not working on them, even though now I have a good idea on which direction to go, I'm really busy.

I think I do need to work smarter and plan things out well so I can work them all in batches instead.

So next up will be focusing on tech projects and digital products (fermentation takes time, so there's my downtime!)
